Ffion is certainly a piggy with a difference - she lives in the whole of the downstairs, thinks that a running hoover has been set up specifically for her to investigate and has taken it on herself to taste dinner in the kitchen before it can be served to the other piggies! She has even managed to wheedle the odd treat out of my hubby!

She's a brave piggie :) My boys dive for cover when the hoover is on. That's my excuse for not using it very much anyway!

Ffion is so beautiful, I'd love to have a piggie roaming around the place all the time. Is she toilet trained?
 
Fearless Ffion. Isn't it wonderful the way she has become so confident so soon ... it's great. But I think it's lovely that she'll whizz around the house anywhere she wants - just wait until she finds the stairs!
 
What an adventurer! I just imagined a little red day pack on her back... :)

She's more of a roamer than a jumper, unlike Minx... But I wouldn't be surrpised if one day she discovers the stairs. She's already had a peek out from the front door while I was cleaning the cages!

But I have never met a piggy who was so unafraid of a running hoover - even Minx took a year before she started to play with the hoover while it was running.
 
Aww, must be great for her, being able to roam around the house like that :)
 
does she not wee and poo everywhere?!
Hubby says ours cannot roam on the carpet just incase they wee.
(they have 6ft indoor runs, but that not as exciting as exporing the house!)

I have "safe" piggy corners in the living room which consist of Ikea plastic cubboard liner with old beach towels and bathroom mats over them and some kind of hide or lean-to to entice the piggies there. There is also an old kitchen towel under the towel rack now. That takes care of most problems, as piggies tend to establish their toilet corners. For the rest I have puppy messes carpet cleaner handy. Poos are either picked or hoovered up.

So far, we have only had the very odd poo in the kitchen or the hall, and no pees at all - it's not proper piggy territory.

However, I would not recommend it if you live in rented accommodation!
 
Oh my goodness, she is fearless! Not to mention gorgeous x), I'm so glad she has settled so well!
 
What a cheeky girl, isn't she a character?

Be careful though she might be a bad influence on your other piggies, and then you'll have them playing trains all over the house.

ahhhhhh this girl is totally taking over the household, she now has the OH in her paw (hi there mate x) and the fridge giving her food on demand........such a smart little lady x):(|)
 
She was looking out the back door when I was cutting grass and out the front door when I was cleaning out the cage; I'm just waiting to see whether she'll discover the stairs at one point... :))
 
aww, so cute! She looks like a female version of my Splodgey, they would make a lovely couple :)

How do you prevent her from chewing wires and going under beds and things?

I'm always to scared to let Poco and Figgy roam in my bedroom without me watching. Also, my pigs just wee wherever, although that may be because they have no established weeing are outside of their cage. They are not allowed to roam in the living areas because my mum doesn't like them weeing and putting sawdust everywhere - also we have a cat.

I though maybe if I let them establish a safe area and stop them from biting and running under things, then I could let the in the house when the cat is outside.
