Hi,
I'm preparing to get some guinea pigs again after a 4-year break and I want to replace my old plastic pigloos because they only have one entrance each and I've heard plastic hides heat up in the summer.
I haven't been able to find any fleece hideys that have multiple entrances. I'm also not sure if I would be able to fit two hideys into the same washing load as my fleece cage liners and I don't want to take up too much washing machine time from the rest of my household. I'm wary of tunnels because my old pigs never went in them (though I think the ones I bought might have been a bit small for the specific pigs I had at the time). I found these hideys on Etsy that I'm thinking of getting for my new pigs.
Because they're wooden I'm not sure what the cleaning routine would be for these. I've heard white vinegar and water but how often would I need to do this? Would just scrubbing them down be enough or would they need to be soaked?
Does anyone have advice about what hideys to get and how to clean them?
