so sorry to hear sophie, as you probably know yourself guineas sometimes rally round only to get ill once again. Perhaps if you know he's coming to the end and he seems not in pain just let him go to sleep. Less stressful than going to the vets, thinking of you and him x
 
So sorry to hear there is no improvement with Harry. Just remember you are doing everything you possibly can for the little man. Take care.
 
Thank you. He's making little grunting noises now, the only time I've heard that has been when a guinea is dying... he's all dosed up and I think he's comfortable, so I guess he'll either make it through the night or not. It's just so soon after Hermione only a couple of weeks ago.

He's snuggled up in his vetbed with Beatrice.

awww i bet she is a comfort to him as well as they snuggle...i really do hope the little chap gets stronger and that i'm sure you will do what you think is right at the vets...you have been trying so hard ever since you last took him to the vets.

Thanks everyone. He made it through the night but is now too weak to get up... so I think it's time we both stopped fighting it now. He's all snugggled up and warm, I'm not sure how aware he is of anything and his breathing is very shallow. I'll ring the vets as soon as they open.

Sorry to hear that Harry seems to suffering. I'm sure he knows your there, helping him as much as possible and giving him what he needs xx
 
I'm so very sorry Sophie, I was hoping Harry would win the battle. Many hugs to you - he was a brave little fighter.

Oh Sophie.....I am so, SO sorry that brave little Harry didn't win his fight. :0 :0 :0 But as you said, he is free of pain now, and in your heart you know that you did EVERYTHING that you possibly could for him. I just caught up on this thread. Sophie, I'm so sorry. My thoughts are with you.

RIP Harry, watch over your mommy, she loves you and will miss you more than you'll ever know.
