Fluffy has a giant lump on her stomach 😱

So glad to hear all has gone well. Hope that she makes a great recovery back at home in your tender loving care again.

Thankyou so much everyone, they are home, there was a slight problem with the surgery in that the muscle has too many adhesions to be repaired so they've had to close the hernia with skin, you cant tell she has a herrnia now and she is doing well, however she probably shouldn't have any more ops xx she will need to take it easy! Already running round with P though! How to make a guinea pig actually rest 🤔🤔🤔 xx the important thing is no bowel is trapped and she's OK! Xx

Hopefully this will make you all laugh as much as it did me! Took up a bowl of recovery food for fluffy to lap as well a syringe full to give her a top up, fluffy legged it, she dislikes anything from a syringe P came over ran off with the syringe, so I gave her some then she ran over to the bowl and started eating it 😂 if only fluffy shared her enthusiasm! If she has a big weight gain this week we know why 🙈🙈🙈 if only all piggies loved been syringe fed and medicated as much as princess 🤷‍♀️😂😂😂 xx
 
Amazing news! May have been a tad early for a weigh in! But no weight loss! STILL 1KG! 😍 So proud of her, she's eating by herself (I am topping her up but just supportivly every 4 hours) she's running round like nothing ever happened and being her usual sweet and crazy self!
 
Little monkeys giving me the run around! Struggling to catch her for weight checks and syringe feeds, I've got another 5ml down her at 6am, no reherniation or pain signs her wound looks great, shes had her morning metacam, but she is down 50g so I need to up the syringe feeds! She's never been a fan of anything by syringe so it's an uphill struggle but she's in good spirits and super fast! Wheeking for veggies currently so I'm about to give veggies then retry some syringe xx
 
Her last feeds have been much smoother and she's definitely eating more by herself too, and coming to the syringe for more during feeds, I'm getting 5ml plus 1ml water in 10-15minutes, I'm syringing extra water now as I haven't seen her drink (she has bowls and bottles for options) she's doing great though, her usual self really the syringe is mainly for support until her follow up tomorrow 😁 xx
 
Aw, she’s a clever girl, if she’s eating for herself just keep an eye on her weight, you can always step in with the odd feed if needed x
 
Her wound was bleeding a little but looks like she just knocked a scab off they've given it a good clean, back on the syringe feeds she's down to 960, same on my scales 😱 poor girlie, still plenty of energy though 😁 back in a week and call before if any problems 😁 xx
 
She seems to be having a not so great eating day today, eating a little but not a great deal and fighting the syringe more 😔 back on two hourly feeds I think as I can't get more than 2ml down her in one sitting now, even with the temptation of fresh grass, I think it's the two day curse she did this after her spay showed promise after the first 24 hours then declined again after 48 🤦‍♀️ I know her metacam can be upped as Princess is on a lot more for her arthritis so I'm going to call tomorrow and tell them I want to up her dose if there is no improvement overnight 🤦‍♀️
