Fluffy has a giant lump on her stomach 😱

That's exactly what I was thinking, she's been seen by a nurse this morning but it seems to be since we got home she's struggling, assuming she's in pain from ripping a scab on the way to the vets!

I see no harm in giving her a much larger dose and seeing how she is by morning.

P can have up to 1.2ml once to twice a day for her arthritis so 0.2 for post op seems very low!

You have nothing to lose by giving a large dose for a short period of time. Well, that’s my opinion and experience.

Thankyou I will give her an evening dose then and tell the vets tomorrow! They probably won't be happy I've given it without asking but I'm not willing to leave her in pain overnight! Xx

I think since they can’t speak we have to read more into their behaviour. A reluctance to eat is usually pain or illness related so it’s entirely reasonable to give increased pain relief temporarily to see if it helps.

Thankyou I agree and have given her an extra dose, her poor tummy 😔 she's squeeling being picked up so it's definitely pain!

Her poop is also tiny next to Ps, she's getting pro c, at least there are lots of poops just small! I'm aware output lags a day or two behind input x

Shes doing much much better, up to 970g and eating for herself lots, managed to step down to less often syringe feeds, her poops look better and she's climbing the side of the cage too say hi now so I think she's in less pain! 🤞 She keeps it up! Princess still giving us a good giggle tucking into fluffys bowl of mushed pellets 😂😂 I think she will be dissapointed when the mushed pellets stop appearing 😂😂

Up to 986g today and now down to two feeds a day 💕 very proud of this little one! As predicted p has also gained weight! She is up to 1117g! Probably due to eating all fluffys mush! 😂 Unfortunately it does look like fluffys hernia has returned 😩 we knew this was likely though as its only covered by skin, it isn't causing her discomfort or pain and she is eating and gaining weight well! She has a post op Thursday but I will also mention it to the vet tomorrow when i drop babybelle off for her dental surgery! I think they said due to the size of the hernia it's unlikely for any bowel to become trapped which is great so I'm guessing it'll just be a case of keeping an eye on her if it isn't bothering her, feeling a little disheartened that we may have put her through surgery for nothing but it does look better than it was and we had to try xx
