If you want to foster for RSPCA you need to provide
Time.... fostering is not something to consider if you are working full time/or have a busy social life. Foster animals need you to be there to moniter and assess the animals and also provide company. This does not mean you have to be with them 24 hours a day,but the majority of you day should be spent at home.
Space.... Foster animals MUST be kept seperate from existing pets. Therefore it is essentail you have a spare room/shed/outbuilding/hutches for other animals. It is also adviseable that you have easy to clean floors eg linoto reduce the chance of cross infection between animals.
Telephone....It is vital that you have a telephone as you need to keep in touch with the branchand vets regarding the the animals in your care.
Transport.... Access to your own transpart is beneficial in fostering as this means youcan take the animals in your care to the vets should the need arise. However,it is not essential as we can provide transport.
Commitment.... Although fostering is a temporary arrangement for each animal fostered,we are looking for people for some considerable time.
Two character references. These can be from anyone who knows you but who isnt living in your home.
