Furbabies' Adventures

Dear Pino

I have come off my sickbed because I am totally outraged! I understand your Slave called you a rat! How very dare she liken our noble species to those rodents. It's because she knows I'm on sick leave atm isn't it? I don't think that GPFANS has realised yet or the Nipping Squad would in action. Maximus Bossius Hoggious either hasn't put his application in yet or the Committee of the GPU is deliberating over whether he should temporarily assist GPFANS with piggies and their wayward Slaves while I am on leave.

I have sent a wheekmail to Kylie letting her know of the appalling behaviour of your slave.

Dear Miss Bramble,
thank you so much for writing on my behalf even though you are on sick leave.
Kylie got your wheek mail and she had fun nipping our slave during evening cuddles.

But be asured that mummy slave likes all kind of rodents, even mice and RATS. So she didn't mean any harm and she always tells us not to be prejudiced against other rodents even if they are not as noble creates as guinea pigs.

German Humans and it seems also Austrian Humans have Small Animal Mix Up Disorder. They casually refer to guinea pigs as 'hamsters' :hb: as an affectionate term (WTA...) and instead of calling their rabbits 'bunnies' they call them 'hares',which is a different species altogether! On a slightly different note, they talk about skunks 'peeing' which they don't do either, at least they don't pee their really stinky stuff, they SPRAY 🚿 it, so Germans (and I suppose Austrians) have a General Vocab Disorder, so I'm not exactly flabbergasted that Pino's Slave referred to him as a rat, altho I do dislike and condemn the usage. Good that you caught that just before going off on holiday, Miss Bramble  altho we all know that you ought to be resting because of your eye, so it was doubly inconsiderate of Pino's Slave to mention rats.

Thank you!
His activity level is getting normal again. As usual his appetite is not where I would like it to be yet.
On Tuesday we will get the results of the nasal swap and the vet will decide if we have to switch to an antibiotic that guinea pigs don't tolerate as well as the current one.
He also gets vitamin C drops daily and I added Rodicare Pulmo. Maybe that will help a bit as well.
I'm also thinking about switching them to fleece for some time (which I really would hate doing because I always find it hard to cope with fleece bedding). But I'll make this decision after I know what's going on on the bacterial front.
