Sounds great Helen - my 30th birthday is in november too so would be a nice treat...............although I did swear I would never come to stay again as I can't resist taking home a piggy rolleyes
I'll see what Alex says xx

I wonder how many piggies will find new homes that day?

4 hours driving for me :( And I don't travel well in cars 8... Can you fly to Gretna? From the East Mids?

sounds a great idea, shame you're so far away. I will definately try and make it though ;-)

i second this. i've never been on holiday with my boyfriend, so if we could make a weekend trip of this, it'd be fantastic, as we both love the piggies, and i may be able to convince him depending on his uni timetable. but if we couldn't fly there, it'd be too far, as neither of us have a car :(

well, from my local train station, with a railcard, trave for a return ticket is only £53, so i might actually be able to come, depending on costs of accomodation :)

Oooo I just checked too, about 4.5 hrs by train - I'd rather do that than drive... Would just be the dates and cost of accommodation that would be the decider!

i looke up accomodation. it looks like i could be in, depending on whether Chris will want to come :(

Sounds a good idea - if it's a weekend I'll have to take holidays from work which 'should' be ok :)

everyone will be able to have cuddles with Amelia and some of the other sponsor pigs :)) (more being added this week)

:)
Becky

we might be able to come depending on football commitments... and whether it's in the school hols or not.

Would love to meet some other piggie people but i am incredibly shy with new people. If it was at the weekend i would also need to get time off work. Lots of piggy hugs sounds good though

I know how you feel. But most of us won't know each other - not really, if you know what I mean.

Hope you will be able to make it :)

i think most of us are somewhat shy. probably why we identify so well with guineas :)) so you won't be alone in that respect

Graham is on the case this morning checking to see what dates have the least weddings on, if any, and also the most rooms in case anyone wants to stay over here at The Mill.

I have asked him primarily to check on Saturday to Sunday then you can all descend during the day and off we go..........................

Yay, a whole night to indulge my passion for piggies with like minded people! Don't worry if you are shy piggies have a way of getting conversations going!

It's exciting! Are you easy to get to from the train station? I'm thinking in a taxi.

You can get a train to Lockerbie and I can pick you up or you could get the train to Carlisle and then one from Carlisle to Gretna which is about 10 mins and I could pick you up or you could get a taxi to The Mill which would be about £3.00 from Gretna x

Both routes for me end with a train from Carlisle to Gretna, its just the earlier bit that changes... Either Leic - Derby - Crewe - Carlisle - Gretna or Leic - B'ham - Carlisle - Gretna

Such a lovely offer to invite us all to your home and to see your piggies :) And £3.00 taxi, bargain! I don't think you can go anywhere in Leic for £3.00! LOL! You'll be organising a people trains from the station, instead of a piggy train!
