One of my piggies has a green lump on their nose - what is it?
What gets me, is that it is green - is that even natural?

Oh, at the time of the photo I was weighing him!

I’d have it checked out then. Did you first notice it today?

Who said it was probably just a spot? Had you noticed anything there previously?

no, although this guinea pig is more prone to ticks than my others, and they always attach on the face

Guinea pigs generally don’t have species specific ticks if I remember correctly. Do you have dogs? And you’re sure it’s not something else and not ticksV

well, I have no idea how it got there, just one day it was normal, the next day the was a green lump there. I have no dogs, and none come around our place.

I’d just take him to the vet. I don’t know that whatever it is previously was ticks. Let us know how you get on.

I looked it up, but it looks like scabby lips, whereas Albie's is a smooth green lump on his nose

Only a vet is going to be able to tell you what it is
Not everything will look exact every time, things may look different when they have only just started and we can only give opinions based on personal knowledge and experience
