guinea eating coroplast

Hiya, I have 4 piggies living in a 2x5 and 1x5 loft C&C cage. one of them has eaten a huge chunk of coroplast and I’m not sure which one, but have a feeling it’s one of my younger ones. I have plenty of chew toys in the cage but clearly doesn’t satisfy them enough than the plastic does. The coroplast is covered in marble decoration tape which i thought was protected but they managed to eat through a huge chunk. I plan on ringing the vets tomorrow but has this happened to anyone else? has anyone got any advice for me and what i need to look out for... thanks
 
thank you for your reply! I actually have these, all around the cage pretty much, but my sows seemed to eat through the middle if that makes sense? i have no idea how. They act like i starve them lol
O wow how odd! Can’t you put some fabric round it or something?
 
Mine eat it too. I had to replace the ramp because they had eaten so much of it and they have started on the new one. I am trying to distract them by giving them wooden chews near to where they chew the correx!

do they have any nasty side effects? like having problems with the gut? mine has some marble decoration tape on it and it has me so worried, i put willow sticks everywhere and they just don’t care!
 
Try cardboard boxes or even carrots cottages. Empty toilet rolls stuffed with hay and a treat in the middle. A paper bag (handles cut off) and stuffed with hay.

I know it’s not what you asked about but a quartet needs a 2x6. The loft doesn’t county towards the
