Hi i have 6 boars who happen to be guinea pigs. Occasionally they are running around the garden and have 3 large hutches. We are hoping to buy a shed but the guinea pigs do not get along. There are three couples. The oldest two are sweet and loving they are named Robin and galaxy. Robin is 5 and Galaxy is 2 almost 3. They have been alone for a while but these 4 new ones dont get along. The other couple are named Rolo and Fudge. Rolo is 1 year and Fudge is 11 months. Rolo is laid back and relaxed so it easy to bond him with robin and galaxy. Although Fudge is quiet dominant. As long as he gets used to the smell hes fine. Then the youngest two are Cheddar and Oreo. Cheddar is 8 Months and Oreo is 12 weeks. Cheddar is the dad to the baby. However, he is very protective toward oreo so fights and send threatening noises to the other piggies. Cheddar ist he main problem. They are all very healthy and have a large home and food source. These 4 new ones are rescue guinea pigs we only got them a few weeks back. Please we Need help as soon as possible. I want my guinea pigs to be happy and have a great life!

Kindest Regards,

Hello and welcome to the forum!

If you are wanting to bond all 6 boars into a large group I would advise against it. It is very hard to keep boars in bigger groups than pairs and would at least require a lot more space than a garden shed would require. I feel it would be safer to keep them in their bonded pairs and perhaps split the shed between them?

Thank you for your request i shall think about it since it will cost alot but ill think thanks x

Hello, We certainly would advise against a group of boars. Trios and above rarely work and usually result in fights unfortunately
