Guinea Pig Conspiracy?

I’m sorry I can’t throw any light on the situation, but I’d tend to agree that it does sound like his senses are somehow compromised, making him easier to pick up. Hope the vet can help. You’ve certainly been through it.

Little Toby started losing weight again, he's stayed at the vets overnight and is getting a dental today.

We have a little routine morning and night which I'm missing. He comes out for his veggies and then comes running up for additional treats, who said Guinea pigs can't be trained. It was a last minute decision to leave him logistically it made sense but I normally take a little pack lunch for him and drop him off in the morning. Although I'm sure the vets will give him some veggies, it's silly how much more worry you have when you haven't had time to plan the event.

Can't wait to bring him home!

Thanks for the healing vibes!

Toby is home, here's his before and after thought you'd like to see some piggy teeth! He's eating like a trooper which is great news :).

Thanks Guy!

We've got probiotics the vet suggested the Vetark probiotics for his vitamin C. Funnily enough since he's been ill he's refused to eat his pellets that's the first thing he went off.

I've ordered some recovery food, to be honest he's really good well I have him out the cage as soon as I put him in he goes back to hunched Guinea pig really bizarre.

I suspect he's been eating today and consuming water as he's not lost the extra weight he consumed this morning with his feed. Currently he's eating hay in his cat basket which is a good sign!
Vetark seres to be good stuff, i put it in my pigs water bottle. Your not meant to incase it puts them off drinking and the vit c deteriates fast in water, but she kept nit giving me the syringe back when syringing so i do the bottle

Glad to hear the good news.

That's brilliant. It's such a relief when they find their appetite again.

Thanks everyone, I've just got Toby out for his veggies it's become our routine since he got Ill in February he is still eating like a trooper. Just a bit nasally but he has been since February so that's no surprise.

I really hope we start gaining weight again that will be amazing!

Toby has finally gained a little bit of weight he was 725 after his teeth where filed but yesterday 740 and today 750 grams. I really hope given his appetite is huge that he's going to continue to gain weight! He really needs to fatten up, can't believe he used to be 1.08kg's!
