Heyyy okay so I haven't got any guinea pigs YET however I've been asking my mum for a guinea pig and she said she has to see if we have room or not and how much it will cost so I found a hutch but I'm not sure if it's going to be big enough for 2 piggies website click the link

are the guinea pigs going outside or inside ?
because if it we me I only keep my inside all year around. and I don't like wooden hutches too dark for any animal
what you need is a cage like C&C cages there for indoor use and guinea pigs can see more and its not like a wooden hutch.
that looks big for two guinea pigs, but not for my rabbit !
I am sure someone else will help on her ?

We are going to keep them inside and this is the only hutch or cage my mum will get me otherwise I can't get any piggies

Why will she only allow you to have a hutch and not something like a c&c cage? Wooden Hutches can begin to smell over time as wee can soak in. Also bedding will fall out of the wires. I certainly wouldn't have a wooden hutch in the house.
C&C can be around the same price -
2 x 3 Grid Cage | C and C Guinea Pig Cages (slightly under 4ft long but deeper than 2ft, so square footage is still the same as a 4ftx2ft cage)
Or
Guinea Pig Cages – Next Day Delivery Guinea Pig Cages

ETA - that hutch is too small too. It is 4ft long but only 1'7" deep. The square footage would be too small - needs to be 8sq ft.

ETA- you can get lids for c&c cages too. You can also build them yourself by buying the grids and coroplast separately - some people have made cheaper cages this way.

She said only a hutch because in the summer we can put it outside however if we get a c and c cage we wont be able to keep it outside as it would be much easier for predators to get the piggies.

Sorry its just you said for inside, obviously c&c cannot be used outside.

but once you have a guinea pig inside, you can't put them outside !

There are quite a few people on here who move their piggies outside when it is warm, obviously pigs need to be acclimatised and can't just be put straight outside when they are used to the constant temperature from indoors.

The hutch shown isn't big enough unfortunately, however, I had a quick look and yes they are a little more expensive but this first hutch is 4ft x 2ft which is the recommended size for 2 piggies. If you can go larger it is recommended as it will mean there is less chance of a fall out and the second hutch is a 5ft by 2ft.
