GuineaPig Mom
New Born Pup
Hello,
I’d really appreciate getting some advice for my guinea pig’s teeth.
My guinea pig is 11 months old right now. Today, while I had him in my lap, I found something wrong with his front incisors. His bottom incisors are nice and aligned, but his top incisors had a problem. One of the teeth is fine, but the other is waaay too short. I’ve heard of guinea pigs having teeth too long, but not too short.
I considered taking him to a vet, but he doesn’t have any problem eating. He eats his vegetables, pellets, and hay very well, and even now he is eating from his pile of hay.
I’m really not sure what to do for him, since the tooth misalignment isn’t really bothering him, so I’d really like some advice on this. Also, does anyone know if the shorter tooth could grow back? And could the short tooth be a dental disease? Or could it have simply broken off?
Sorry that my post is too long, and thank you for any answers!
