So last night I messed up bad. My mum lets our guinea pigs out to roam the garden in the morning. They the move freely between the shed (yes a whole shed) and the garden all day. I then shut them in when I feed them at night. When I went to feed them last night I was in a rush and forgot to count them because normally they’d all wonder in by then.
Well turns out one of them hadn’t and our long haired pig Twix has been out all night in the uk where it rained. I brought her in the house the moment I noticed and dried her off in a towel before wrapping her in a blanket. Since then I’ve brought her some food and a bottle with vitamin c added.
She was fairly docile when I found her and made no fuss when I picked her up which is unusual as she normally makes a small fuss when being picked up.
Since then she’s been wrapped in a blanket burrito and has been constantly been drinking from the bottle I’m holding with my other hand. As I’m writing this she’s moving about a bit more and has groomed her self a bit, explored the blanket a bit and looked at me with confusion (probably because were in a room she’s never been in before) she’s making a bit of a weird noise and the only way I can describe it is like when you swill water around your mouth.
So what do I do from here to make sure she’ll be okay?
