Guinea pig

I’m going on holiday for 3 weeks from next Saturday and I have 2 options.

1. Take my guinea to a friends house where he will be with other guineas (in his own cage obviously) and will probably get a bit better care as my friend is very experienced.

2.Keep him in my house what he is used to and have my grandad come in each day for fresh food.
but I am worried about him getting lonely maybe?

I don’t know what to do someone please help!

I’d perhaps have him go to your friend as your friend has experience of guinea pigs.

Does your guinea pig have a companion? They are highly social creatures and should be kept in pairs. They do get lonely if they don’t have any guinea pig to live with.

I agree also, take him to your friends, it might be too big a job for your grandad, and the wee guy would need attention if he is on his lonesome.
