And so my ongoing guinea pig education continues.

Today I found out (courtesy of DD1) that guinea pigs are excellent at 6th Grade math.
Apparently sitting on the sofa with a guinea pig on your lap/shoulder, actually improves your productivity, and is not a distraction.
At all.
Even when the guinea pig tries to eat your pencil.

Who knew, but keep your eyes open for DD1 and Ruby at a top university (majoring in maths of course) in about 6 years. :))

Oh and apparently Eddi is rather good at French, even though it looked (to my untrained eye) like he was just trying to eat the homework folder.... :))

All of my hopes are now pinned on Oreo being excellent at tax returns

At last. I have had a Eureka moment. The reason why I'm so rubbish at maths is because I didn't have a guinea pig when I was at junior school. I so blame my parents. I should have had a Ruby.

You are SO right to blame your parents @VickiA
I would be asking for compensation if it were me - think what a maths genius you could have been if only they bought you a study guinea pig :))

We had the gorgeous Emmy when I was doing (ahem) O levels, but I don't think she was a maths genius! Well done Ruby; you're super special!

On the other hand, I think my boys are all rather excellent at helping me when I'm working at home. Should I claim them as a business expense? They are certainly more helpful than a lot of expenses that the HMRC regard as more legitimate!

I hope Oreo can help out with the tax return!
