Guineapigs And Banana

my guineapigs love banana! i also saw lots of people who are giving it to there pigs. but i read somewhere its only considered a treat and can make them sick if they have to much. is this true? also is the skin okay? because i never give my piggies the skin because i also read that part is bad for them?

Banana should only be feed as a treat as it is very high in sugar

My 3 girl guinea pigs love banana, I cut a little slice each, skin & all & they have it occasionally. They munch it down ever so fast & it’s funny seeing them lick their lips afterwards x
