I came home today to find a spot on my guinea pigs face, I took him out to check him out and it felt kind of like a dried scab, but I never saw it until now and he does not have any spots like this anywhere else. Could it be mites?

Definitely a vets visit. Does not look typical of mites but could be a fungal infection like ringworm so always best being safe than sorry

Let us know how it goes with the vet.

Did you ask a vet or? And do you mean you diluted the ivermectin?

where did you put it, direct on that area? If so did he say to dilute it because it was being applied so near the eye? And did (s)he say you should apply it again in a couple of weeks?

It was an edible solution that they recommended, I lightly dipped a little fruit or veggie in the solution and fed it to him

What did the vet say it was? And is the treatment to be repeated again?
