Thanks everyone :-)Can anyone sugest any fattening foods to bulk her up? I tried her with critical care in addition to her normal food...but she tured her nose up at it :-\

Keeping away from sweet stuff which can cause other problems, try her with porridge oats (not cooked). Just the supermarket own brand will do fine at roundabout 80p Kilo. Lidl do qa 500g packet for 39p which my piggies like. If you've got Scott's or Quaker Oats in the house try her on them first.

Thanks Stewybus :-). She eventually ate some critical care i left in the bowl. Thanks for the sugestion...i tried porridge actually last night....she didnt like that either lol...shes a fussy moo...she likes her veg and pellets alot. I am going to keep offering both porridge and critical care to her...on alternate days and see what she dose. :-)

Well Haven is eating critical care so that is good...am givibg her a little in the evening with her dinner.

Haven dose not like being syringe fed her meds ...She gives me the dirtiest looks haha and struggles away like crazy. ...x

yeh luckily she is eating ok...its just getting her meds in her twice a day. Was always much easier doing Honor as she is bigger where is Haven is smaller so is able to wriggle more lol. Oh well i should be used to it by now after all the meds i have done over the years for various animals... x

Haven has been to the vets again. Had a second lot of bloods taken...and also her lump was tested and ultrasounded....its a cyst. Her blood etc results are due back either end of the week or begining of next week. He was generally pleased with her and she is still on the antibiotics for another week or so :-)

I'm a bit confused these days so sorry if I have got this wrong - I don't know if I have missed out on any updates.

So the original vet thought Haven had a tumour and its actually a cyst? And where are we up to with the possible kidney failure?

AbiS....my new vet says its not kidney failure from his last set of bloods hes prety sure its throid (this lot of bloods is to confirm).
Yes my vet says its a cyst not a tumor (he did a needle analisis and also an ultrasound).
Yep we are getting there with an answer....and if bloods confirm its thyroid now infection should be gone...then she can start tyroid meds. :-)

Yes :-) as long as it is tyroid. But vet is 90percent sure as last levels were high normal range...but he thinks infection was masking the tyroid levels. So yes all beibg well will just be meds and regular bloods for life :-) x

Thanks. Me too. Will be so pleased once we get a final diagnosis :-) Poor Haven has been through alot x

Havens results back....her lump flid was deff normal cyst fluid....and her thyroid levels were 60 (hyoerthroidism is somyhing like over 38). The infection is gone....John (my vet) is posting me some meds and wants to speak two days after starting thyroid meds. Am so pleased her results are back and it confirms everything!

If she goes on baytril don't forget probiotics and porridge oats are good for cslories but make with water nit milk

Haven (and Honor) went to the vets today. Haven had a check up and said her fast heartrate has slowed...so thats good and he is pleased. She has gained a little wait aprox 20grams ...so not huge....but he says he is pleased she is gaining as her thyroid before wouldnt let her gain weight. Her lump is back so in the new year he wants to operate to remove it. All in all he is very pleased.

Good news, sorry about the lump. But all in all sounds positive for beautiful Haven x
