Will be sending every single positive thought, healing vibe and good luck that I have to you. I am now 'watching' this thread and will be looking out for updates.

Big hugs to you both (and to Honor)

x

Thanks everyone. Will update here tommor once i get a phone call about Haven :-). I am so anxious...but Haven is her usual happy self hopping about - currently tucking into some critical care and some veg :-)

Hope everything goes well for Haven, one of my favourite forum piggies ever  I know its hard, try not to worry. Lots of love and vibes to her x

Haven update:
Haven was being xrayed before her op for a seperate issue with her back leg and hip. John said he would xray her then operate.
John called- he isnt going to operate today. Haven has very bad artheritus all down her right side -very severe he says. He wants to sort her out with pain relief and joint tablets and see if she improves before he operates as he is worried her artheritus issues may be to bad to warrent an op. Am leaving now to pick her up as it takes nearly a couple of hours to get from my house to my vets.
Will explain more when i see him-phone call was a bit of a blur....

Ohh poor little Haven! They are keeping you on your toes aren't they! :(
Lots of vibes to the little lady, hope you can get her healthy again asap. How's her weight doing? Any improvement from last time we spoke or is she still dropping? One of Cash's new favourites is bits of banana smothered in oats, he highly recommends it to her! xx

Thanks everyone. I have Haven and we are just leaving vets. She is armed with pain killers and oxbow joint tabs and also some more vit c tabs as well as her usual thyroid meds. He wants me to call next week with an update but we want to see how she dose on meda before having any sort of major op if not needes etc. But he says its very chronic artheritus bless her...but at least pain killers should take away any pain if she has any. He says good thing is she is so energetic and races about likr a babypig as that hopefully means she isnt in to much pain although as we said piggies are good at hiding pain. Her whole right side is riddled with artheritus and is even in her ear canals blesa her. He says the artheritus has totally taken over her right side so pain releif is the most important. I just feel so bad i not noticed before...ahe always had a slight "limp" since i adopted her...but i guessed she just had a birth defect or just a funny "hop" its only been the last month or so since her weight has dramaticly dropped that you can see the diffrence in her hips. I feel so bad :-( She was on a small amount of metacam before all this so hopefully this helped take the wdge off any pain she did have.... :-(

Poor Haven :( Glad you have found this out, you can now make sure she is pain free and comfortable, she has a very good mummy to help her out. You also have a very supportive and knowledgeable vet there so she is in safe expert hands.

Bit of a shock to take her in with one thing then come out with something else, but at least it has been found out so you can manage it. Lots of love to Haven x

Such a pretty girl  I know I always say it, but she is one of the prettiest pigs I have ever seen.
