I must say this stuff is FAR superior to the bale of hay I got from the saddelry last time and the postage was free btw ( although I expect it was included in the price but then that's the same for Zooplus and it works out about the same - well, 4 p per kilo more but definitely worth it, it's better than the last lot of JR mountain meadow hay I ordered ) it smells divine - just picked my piglets up and they all smell like they've been sleeping in pot pourri! :))

This is a 1.8kg bag of timothy and rye hay from them.. with a coke bottle for size comparison:)) Its smells GORGEOUS! I am defo buying a bigger bag to last over xmas! The postmans face was soooo funny, he just burst out laughing when he handed it over!

Lol! The courier who delivered ours looked at our garden and said " Haven't you got enough grass around here already?!" :(|)

I always order all 3 for variety - when the courier delivered the 3x9kg bags he asked if we had a horse my mum was extremely embarrassed and didn't say it was for the Guinea pigs :))..

I love hay for pets use them regularly.

my little piggy slave head is battered! :{ what is the best hay to feed the pigs? are all of these hays safe to give them everyday or is their one that's best for a treat? i'm going to order some and not sure what you all buy! xx

Email them and tell them your not sure they will tell you what is popular for what pet :) i use meadow hay for my piggies, hay for pets have great customer service i didnt know what to buy so i emailed and they gave me a variety worth nearly double what i bought (paid for 4.5kg they sent me three bag's one of each all over 2.2kgs)

Wow. Thanks so much guys for posting the pictures. I have been getting my hay from a local pet shop, and was wondering if i was getting a good deal or not.
Because of my doubt i bought a slightly bigger bag of a different kind of hay they sell (roughly the same price i recon, per kg anyway) It looked alot like the alfalfa kind timothy hay from the out side But its AWFULL. Its like straw! Ive never seen hay so dangerous for piggies. Needless to say, all it is now good for is rabbit bedding/eating. I dont know anyone with rabbits. :( Unimpressed. I have no idea what to do with it...? Any ideas?

However it had made me realise the hay i usually get was lovely and green and soft, its about the size of what must be the 4.5kg bag (from what i can guess from the two photos) and it costs me about £5.50. Needless to say i wont be doubting my value for money again, however if i ever encounter problems with it hay for pets will be my next port of call! :)

Thankyou, all you helpful people of the forum.

I am also going to have to go and buy another at the weekend (due to she rubish stuff ive got now), so will take a photo for you to see what you think. :)
