Hi
My Ceri 'Love' went from 700g without any clear symptoms but looking suddenly off on the Friday down to 520g by her emergency bladder stone operation on the Monday (the earliest she could be seen), which was a very close run. Two weeks post op she was back up to 700g, just from the sheer relief from the pain. Her stone was rabbit-sized (11mm round) and must have filled the whole bladder as the biggest the experienced operating vet ever had come across; it's now in his collection.
Ceri's is the large stone on the right in comparison with other sizeable stones from other sows of mine when I had a spate of bladder stones while experimenting with my piggy diet and just getting out of balance for a while.
Her pulling through the op was my best 50th birthday present but it made for some anxious hours because I had to give the go ahead for the op standing on the side of canal in Amsterdam.
I am eternally grateful to
@furryfriends (TEAS) for looking after Ceri at her sanctuary on very short notice over the weekend as the local pet service was just coming in to feed the piggies. We literally dropped Ceri off on our way to the airport, not knowing what was wrong with her, and picked her up again on our way home.
It was our first proper holiday break after my MIL's death a year ago that was not a family visit to Switzerland and we'd been really looking forward to it after a several rough and sad years.
I hope that this extreme experience gives you some hope?
