He has a lump in his abdomen which I've not noticed and I pick him up everyday. No sign of bloat as far as I know. He's managing some hay but still worried x

With a tender abdomen and blood in urine id maybe request an xray to rule out stones. Keep a check that he is still passing urine and doesnt become blocked.

Id also keep an eye that he doesnt become bloated. Make sure his abdo stays soft and not hollow when tapped. The lack of poos could ofcourse just be from a lack of food rather than bloat.

Still soft just now, hoping it stays that way. He's still managing a tiny piece of hay now and then but is refusing everything else :(
 
Oh I really hope he perks up soon - keeping everything crossed for a speedy recovery for Kasper, such a difficult time when piggies are poorly!
 
After a sleepless night Kasper had lost the use of 3 of his legs and he is finding it difficult to swallow and close his mouth. He can't walk and is totally off his food and won't fight me like he did earlier.
Even after his abcess op he was eating within 10 mins of coming home.

Uncle James and I helped Kasper over the bridge this morning. I have no words right now. Quinn is eating but still looking for his brother xx
 
So sorry Annie, as I said in pm - You really did all you could for Kasper and where there when he needed you the most to help him this morning. Everything is so raw at the moment and will be for a while. Just remember what a great life he had with you and Quinn.

Oh No that is so sad. I am so sorry for you and Kasper. Huge hugs to you and Quinn. Our thoughts are with you. At least Kasper is running with lots other happy piggies now. You did everything you possibly could including being brave enough to let him go when he needed to.

Take care of yourself, it will hurt like hell but Quinn will help you and we're all here for you no matter what. x

So sorry to hear about beautiful Kaspar.
When it came down to it you made the hardest decision for you, and the absolute best one for your boy.
There is no greater gift you could have given him.

Just seen this thread. I am so sorry you have lost your wonderful Kasper. But you did the kindest thing an owner could do for him. It's never an easy decision to have to make. You will feel flat and numb and teary.

It's heartbreaking when you are called upon to make that decision, but you have done absolutely the right thing. That doesn't make the loss any easier but your conscience is totally clear. Huge hugs to you and Quinn. Xx
