healing vibes needed for athena

Well I popped home on my dinner and she's pretty much the same. It's really odd, I got her out and popped her on the floor on a throw and she ran back to the cage and looked fine, but once she was in the cage she went back to kind of sitting strange and moving funny. She kept lifting her paws as if they were uncomfortable to put down, but it was both front paws so I picked her up and checked her over, checked all the movement in them and they looked fine? There's nothing visibly or obviously wrong that would be causing this.

I rang the vet and they said it could just be the drugs are taking a couple of days to take effect so to monitor her, call them tomorrow with an update and we'll decide then whether to take her back in or not as they're reluctant to prescribe too many different medications at once.

She's still eating fine so at least thats something

Bless her. Glad she's eating. Thanks for the update and sorry i can't give you any advice :(

Don't worry about it, I don't expect advice, just using this as a way of getting my worries out :)

I know this might sound odd, but it's almost like she's exhausted. She walks around fine but the way she lies down is odd, she almost flattens herself at the front? She's frequently lying down too, but is still eating fine and getting up to the hay loft to eat hay etc ( we had put some downstairs but found her upstairs when we got back home from work and have seen her go up and down the ramp a couple of times )

Todays update. Left for Birmingham at 8 this morning, she was ok, still wobbly on her feet and not quite right. Just got in, opened the cage and she's straight out running round the living room and kitchen. We have our old Athena back! xx>>>

Great news! I hope that it stays that way!

I know, I hope so. She was at the fridge wheeking at it ( as she does ) so I gave her a little bit of parsley, picked her up and put her back in the cage to feed them. By the time I'd walked back to the fridge she'd followed me in to the kitchen and was wheeking at me. There's no stopping her now, she's running all over the place!

Oh what brilliant news! Keep up the good work Athena, you clever girl! xx>>>

Awww hope athena gets better. I wonder if she had a tummy ache.

Hope all the healing vibes hit that little body and magically healed her. Bless her that she is feeling better

Awww, those healing vibes have worked! Well done Athena, you little fighter, lots of hugs coming your way from all the Milhaven piggies. xx>>>

Thanks all, watching her run around the cage this morning popcorning for her breakfast you wouldn't believe it was the same piggie who was at deaths door a few days ago.
