Help! My guniea pig breaths so weird and it is like a frog!

I have a guniea pig naming Xiaofa. I had him for about six months. He is an adult guniea pig. Six days ago, I heard he breathed so loud. I take him to the vet the next day. The vet gave me an antibiotic, I tried three days. However, he still has the sound , but breathed a little less loud. I am not sure. I am so worried. Please help!

OK, just keep giving him the antibiotics and if your guinea pig isn't better in a few days book an appointment with your vet.
 
It usually takes around 3 days for the antibiotics to start working and then you should start to see a difference. You need to make sure that you give your piggy the whole course of medicine.
 
Today, I have a mistake. I thought my piggie eats too much and I just gave it 0.1 ml out of 0.7 ml in the morning, but I give 0.7 at night. I worried about the efficiency for the medicine.

Keep giving the guinea pig the antibiotics and if he isn’t better in 7 days, take to the vet. Give lots of vegetables 🥕🥒🥬 and nutrient rich pellets.

Hi and welcome

In my own experience, it can often take a week or even more for the rasping or crackling breathing of a respiratory infection to settle down. As long as the breathing is not suddenly getting any worse, please continue with the course of antibiotics.

See your vet again if the breathing is still not gone by the end of the week. your bet will then have to decide whether you need to continue with the antibiotics until it is fully gone or whether there is nother problem.

You need upload any video on a public setting elsewhere and then copy it into your post.
