Hello :))
Our family recently bought a new guinea pig for our girl as the male had died. We've had guinea pigs for years and know all about them. The guinea pig we recently bought is clearly unwell, she has goowy substance around her eyes and nose and can't breathe properly. Ive told my mum about this and she's taken it into account yet she won't take her to the vets. I would like to take her to get her checked out and see what the problem is. I'm 15 so i don't know if this is actually allowed? Please tell me if i can and i assure you i will. Thank you :))

Yes you can I took my rabbit to the vet at 15. Please get you piggie to the vet asap. If your pig cant breathe and your parent can not see the seriousness of a pig not breathing good when she imo is an irresponsible pet owner.

also it may of been better to ring your vet and ask tomorrow, instead of asking people on here who do not (probably) know the vet surgery you use.

I'd get your piggy to the vet as soon as possible to be honest... pigs health can deteriorate rapidly and without warning. Fingers crossed everything is okay though

By your description, it sounds like your piggy could have an upper respiratory infection (URI) which will need antibiotics to treat. Only a vet can prescribe antibiotics and only a vet can give a proper diagnosis so please see a vet ASAP
