If that makes sense?

After a truly awful couple of months due to the loss of his friend, failed boar dating and a neuter operation young Brunel is off back down to Windwhistle Warren rescue on Sunday in an attempt to find him a wife.

Please keep your paws crossed for us! I’ve seen a photo of his first date and she’s gorgeous. She is described as ‘feisty’ and with Brunel proving to be very dominant when we tried to boar date him I really hope that being different genders they can find a way to get on.

Brunel really needs a friend! He’s spending a lot of time sleeping or hiding in his hay tray when his humans aren’t around to entertain him. Most unusual for my little playful boy.

:hug:Good luck with your date Brunel.... hope your feisty lady meets with your approval !
you're such a handsome boy... don't worry she wont steal all of your pumpkin...
..remember "its all because the lady loves the hay tray" :bal:
fingers & paws all crossed here  xx

She looks gorgeous

Good luck for the weekend Brunel, please be the perfect gentleman :)

Keep us updated!

Ooops, not sure why the picutre came out twice. The pig on the Pumpkin is my young reprobate Brunel. I don't know if I'm allowed to post the pic. the rescue sent me, but I've fallen in love with her photo.

Brunel will be having a pep talk on piggie manners.

Good luck! I had a lad who was a nightmare with other boars as he was so overbearing and dominant but once neutered he found love with a feisty young lady half his size who keeps him in order, the tables have well and truly turned!

Hopefully your lad will prove to be just as lucky in love :)

If Brunel is anything like his namesake he'll need a 'feisty' female :D Good luck with the date x

Ooo! I volunteer there on Sundays, I shall keep an eye out for you :D I hope Brunel and his intended get on well!

Oooh good luck Brunel, I hope she's the lady-piggy of your dreams xx

Good luck Brunel in finding a wife! That reminds me, when I was little, I had a guinea pigs wedding for Oliver and Clover when they were matched. My brother attended :xd: and they had a feast, well, Clover had the feast, Oliver was trying to - you know what! :D

Thanks all. I think we might need the luck.

Oooh @katanamoon I'm booked in for 1:00pm so perhaps we will meet. Brunel is going to meet Poppy - she looks gorgeous in the photo I've been sent. Brunel originally came from Windwhistle, so I hope I can find him a new partner for him there.

Aww, she is a gorgeous lady :D I'll be there then, will make sure I say hi!

Well there was a slight change of plan and Brunel and I ended up down at Windwhistle today instead of Sunday. So @katanamoon I'm sorry, but I won't get to meet you tomorrow. Hope you have a good session down there though.

The first date did not go well. Poppy really didn't like Brunel.

Date two however was much more successful - and we now have a two pig household again. :yahoo:

There is still a fair bit of humping and chasing going on, but they both sound very happy, and the young female is submissive to him - but still interested in him - following him around etc. after he's had a quick hump. I think this is going to work.

Pics. to follow soon. Then we'll sort out a name for her. For various complicated reasons I wasn't told her name at the rescue. All very exciting and Brunel looks very happy.

That's great news! Sounds like when my Freddie was reunited with a sow from his old home, all good :)

That's a shame about Poppy but I'm glad Brunel has a new wifepig in the end! :) Looking forward to seeing some pigtures.

Here is a pigture of 'The pig with no name'. She's very friendly and not at all shy with us humans. IMG_0254.webp

The happy couple sharing their breakfast.

They both seem very happy. We just need a suitable name for her now, we can't keep calling her 'The pig with no name'!

She's beautiful :)
A name will probably come to you as you get to know her more. I'm really glad they both appear happy and settled together :) x

She's beautiful! Lucky boy!

I am sure Poppy wiklll find her Prince Charming in due time, sometimes it's just not to be....

Aww pretty piggy :luv:
Congratulations to the happy couple :)
What a gorgeous agouti coat :))
Good luck with the naming
No wonder brunel looks happy
Xx

Aww, so glad you managed to find him a wifelet! ^_^ She's gorgeous too! She looks a bit like a chinchilla!

She is very, very friendly. She'll come over to me and beg. I've never had a pig do that before - just a shame I don't know what she wants......

:) Thanks for all the crossed paws. They still both seem very happy - so I think that's them settled for now. :D

Just got to spend more time working on a name.
