How I wish they could speak...

Well, it feels like it’s been a very long day today what with doing night feeds and day feeds. I’ll be honest we are still not out of the woods yet. But there has been a slight improvement throughout the course of the day. And this evening she is looking a little brighter, and I’ve just found her out of her house and in the hay tray having a nibble. That’s a big step in the right direction. I’m just about to do another syringe feed then head off to bed before getting up for another feed in the night.
Here she is with just a trace of Emeraid on her whiskers. It’s set like concrete under her chin. 113F957C-CFAE-49FA-ADF7-FF2E0AF80D65.webp

Glad to hear she is looking a bit brighter 🤞🏻 Sending positive vibes to you both - syringe feeds are exhausting x

Sorry for the delay guys.
Little Miss Holly is feeling ever so much better. So much so that it is now a battle to get her syringe feed into her. She’s a feisty one. But since she’s over 75g down in weight and her poops are far from normal we are persisting. It’s hard work, but my little one is worth it.

Glad to hear Holly is doing better today, hope you win the syringe feed battle and I'm sure you will! Paws crossed she's over the worst and her tummy stays settled, but sending you many hugs because bloaty pigs are a constant worry arent they, even when they get well- I still panic if my acute bloat then recurrent bloat survivor little Puggle pulls a funny face after eating a spinach leaf even though she hasnt bloated for 18 months now, I'm always watching x

You are so right - piggies who’ve had bloat are always prone to having it again. Holly is a bit of a survivor pig. 3 years ago she had a dreadful attack of colitis and I feared we would lose her. But she’s still here to tell the tale. Healing Vibes Please Holly Has Colitis

Glad to hear that Holly is feeling a little better today. Hope she continues on the road to a complete recovery. Sending big hugs and healing wheeks.xx

I STILL wish she could tell me what’s wrong. We’ve been back at the vets today as she’s started losing weight again and looking “off”. Her teeth, chest and urine are clear. She’s in obvious discomfort but gives conflicting squeaks so we don’t know if it’s her back or her abdomen that are hurting. So we are giving her metacam over the weekend then she will go in on Monday for further tests.

Oh little Holly. You are giving mummy some worry. . Take your meds and let's get better. . Sending you lots tlc and vibes.
