My brother's GP, Henry, sometimes breaths loads quicker than my other GP, Gnasher. I don't understand this because Gnasher is older than him. Maybe he's freaking out about something, if guinea pigs do that. I am reasonably worried about this because when we bought him he was quite overweight and did this loads, but he isn't anymore but sometimes still has heavy breathing... help!

Laboured breathing needs to be checked by a vet. They will listen to his chest and look for signs of an infection, or fluid on the lungs. Sometimes something as simple as an allergy to the bedding can also cause this, but it really would be best to get him checked out asap to rule out anything more sinister.

Does he have a runny nose or runny/crusty eyes?

You can find your local piggy savvy vet using our vet locator, see the tab at the top of the page. It would also be more helpful if on your profile you could post your actual location ,rather than mars, it doesnt have to be your exact town even your county/general area (eg for North Yorkshire or North East England for example) would help people assist you in suggesting vets (and other things in the future) :-)
