This is very true! I have been cuddling some of my other piggies too. I'm supposed to be catching up with orders and admin etc but I keep crying and so have given up! (Your veggie plate is almost done by the way, just waiting for it to set properly)

I intend to spend more time with my remaining piggies. They are with us for such a short time. I'm getting the camera out again tomorrow too!

I'm so sorry i cannot contemplate how you are feeling :'( but you musnt blame yourself. Piggys are prone to strokes and as in humans strokes can just happen without warning for no apparent reason. Hope your ok x
 
I think the shock has finally set in for Finn, he is so quiet and hasn't made a sound since Logan passed away.

I have noticed that he hasn't eaten any food through the night or had any water...I filled the water bottle up last night and there doesn't seem to be any gone this morning. He normally drinks for Britain!

He knows that Logan isn't coming back, his eyes look so sad :(

I have tried to talk to him and bring him out of his bed, but he is just laid with his head flat on the floor, staring at the point where Logan was found.

What can I do for my beautiful boy? I don't want him to go in the same way or from a broken heart. :(

Is he an indoor piggy? If he isn't maybe bring him inside, and give him lots of cuddles and attention...some of his favourite veggies perhaps.

Give him a teddy to cuddle up to as well x
 
All my piggies are indoor piggies, 22 of them now, so I am sat with him often.

Funnily enough, all the piggies are quiet, it's almost like they know they have lost one of the piggy family and are all upset, so there are no other wheeks for Finn to hear.

I know it will take time for him to come to terms with the shock, I suppose I'm just overly worried I'll lose him too.
 
I am so very sorry for your loss, Logan was a very handsome young man. Have you tried a little teddy in with Finn, it might help if he has something he can cuddle up to.

:( I'm very sorry you lost your piggy,such a shock one minute fine the next not,thats just soooo awful i really feel sorry for you i would be devastated if that happened to me and ive notice theres quite alot of piggy deaths recently on the forum,mostly out of the blue,and such a shock its worrying,I'm worried for my baby piggy mr piggles about 10/12wks old, hes fine but is recovering from the sniffles but so so much better, Nose very nearly dry now instead of runny)il be keeping a closer eye on him,tho theres nothing you can do if they just go like that :( :( :( :( :(
I'm just very very sorry for you,for all that have lost there piggies recently its just soooo sad :(
 
I'm so sorry to hear about Logan and it really does sound like poor Finn is grieving doesn't it? I can't suggest anything other than people have already done, but I just wanted to send big hugs to you and to Finn.

I know how much losing a little loved one can hurt, emotionally and physically so I truly hope that you are OK and can find comfort in the piggies you still have at home. x

All my boars are in pairs, the girls in a little herd. As Finn isn't neutered he can't go with the girls for obvious reasons and I wouldn't ruin any bonded pairs by adding a third boar. So, in a little while Finn will be finding a new friend of his own. :)
 
Finn has been out today, pottering about and having a little bit of something to eat and drink. He still isn't wheeking, but at least he is out of his bed! :)
