I Have A Piggyless House & It's Awful

They have settled in well and are tucking into their food and seem happy and settled. Milan will see Simon tomorrow morning, so hopefully it won't be long before all is sorted x

Hi sorry for not updating! I have just collected my babies and we're on our way home


Simon isn't 100% sure that the lump is an abscess. He believes that to do any kind of surgery on the lump at the moment would be very dangerous because it's so small and deep into his abdomen. Milan was checked a few weeks ago then again on Friday. Simon has said that the lump has not gotten any bigger since the last check up so he has advised to finish the course of zithromax then wait and see. If it is an abscess and it does get bigger then surgery would be less risky to do as it would be closer to the surface. Fingers crossed it's not an abscess!

Aww I so hope Milan gets better! I've got 2 Guinea pigs & a hamster to go to the vets Friday.

I know, I was so relieved when I heard that Simon didn't think it was an abscess. I was able to enjoy my holiday and know that they were both happy and not unwell. Obviously there's still a chance that it could be an abscess but at least he had the knowledge to know that it would be too risky to do the op while the lump is still so small. If it does grow then we will deal with that if the time comes but I have everything possible crossed that it is just scar tissue.

For now though, they are settled back at home after their lovely little holiday haha

I'm also pleased to add that the pigs are getting along fabulously after their holiday! They were never awful together but there was quite a lot of nipping but that has significantly reduced to the point where I've only seen it happen 2-3 times
