Did you watch a tutorial to make these ?x
I'll have a look thank you xYeseverything I have made so far is all from various Youtube tutorials. There are so many of them, it's brilliant.
Yeah I picked it outStar Wars fabric! Awesome![]()
My wife sews some pieces of material on so the can be tied on the side of cage and removed if needed
Are these made out of cotton material? what clips have you used?Decided I didn't like the hay bins/racks on the new C&C cages so I made 4 hay bags for all the piggies
Only had enough clips for 2 so had to use cable ties for the other 2, for now.

When the kids are back to school in September i think i'll take some of your inspiration and get making some bits! Fab job!
Also slightly unrelated... on your cage (also amazing btw) what are the trays that you have used to put the hay in? and where did you buy them?
thanks xx
And I jut have to jump in and say a HUGE thank you to @Eileen's Mum for the link to the tunnel tutorial.
I whipped a couple up today and the piggies love them, and they are so quick and easy to make.
So thank you from Lucy and Eddi who have claimed the first two tunnels as their own. I shall work on 2 more tomorrow.

Ahh they're lovely! I'll be making my pigs some. Do you use wadding in the pouches?
Yes my wife makes them and uses batting..not super sturdy but my boys live them
Not in the snuggle pouches that are in my first post. They are just 2 pieces of fleece. The tunnels and other stuff I've used wadding for![]()
It's more to give it shape and guess to help it stand up but doesn't work to well foam would work better probably try it on my next tunnel
As far,as wee not really as the ones my wife makes have a cotton like material on the outside and one piece of fleece on the inside with batting in between so I guess it can absorb some but probably will need to wash at least once a,week

Can I ask what the wadding/batting is for? And do the pouches absorb wee?
If I was your pig I'd be in seventh heaven I bought some wedding and fleece from hobby craft. They only had the one colour so I'll see how I go once I've finished making whatever I decide to make. Thinking cuddle cups as they have two hides already - a tunnel and wooden thingy. I'll put a mattress protector in as well. Would I be better to put it near the outside or inside fabric? The more wadding you use, the stronger the structure. I used a few extra layers in one of the tunnels and it's really solid and stands up better than the ones with a single layer but the machine had trouble going through all the layers for the final stage so now i just use the single layer for them all.
You can use mattress protectors or zorb in the pouches etc if you want them to be more absorbent. Zorb is mega expensive though. When I make my cage liners I will be using a mattress protector as the middle layer. Much cheaper.
Now that I've got more confident I am going to do a theme in the cage. I've ordered some nice fabrics and I will make everything so it matches in the cage. Tunnels, hay bags, cuddle cups etc. I've also recently added a fleece forest which they love. It's so much fun making everything to your own colour scheme. I can't wait to get started.

Ikea is quite a way from us unfortunately.....the kids do like playing there...... I'll look on eBay once I've used up the one I bought today. Agree re prices and selection. Lots of felt and only one fleece in the one I went to, and it's a big one. M working tonight but won't get any sleep so may as well see if I have time. Thinking a cubeI also went to hobby craft as there is one very near me. Their prices weren't too bad but not much fabric selection so I had a look on eBay and got 14m of various remnants for £18 quid which is fantastic. Ikea is good for fabric, if you have one near. Again luckily I have one just down the road and their fabric starts at £2.25 per meter, plus I get my fleece from their as well
With the cage liners the absorbent layer (mattress protector) goes in the middle so maybe do similar with the cups and tunnels?
