I Made Snuggle Pouches!

I just made that from scratch. I cut 2 long rectangle bits of fleece, sewed them down the long sides and one short side, turned inside out them stuffed 1/4 and sewed along to close that part then repeated that for all 4 sides and sewed the final end to the beginning to make the square shape. Sewed a square bit of fleece to the bottom and then made a square cushion/pad for the inside. that probably makes no sense :lol!:

what do you mean stuffed 1/4? The rest made sense.

Ikea £3 :) it's so nice. They do a pale blue as well.

Edit: or did you mean the white with the hearts? That's just some cotton I got from Hobby Craft :)

I meant the white background with hearts. Ah its cotton. So many lovelynpatterns in cotton.

Do you have a pattern or tutorial that you followed for the hammock?
I made one when the piggies were smaller and they loved it, but haven't attempted an adult sized one yet.

This is the tutorial I use for the double hammocks and they are very strong, my adult piggies can lay in them no problem :)

When you have the long rectangle of fleece, stuff about 1/4 of it then sew, then stuff another 1/4, sew and do that twice more so you have 4 stuffed parts which are the 4 sides. I will make one tomorrow and take pics :)

I found this fleece. Going to make my piggies some toys and bed. C

very nice! look forward to seeing the finished items :)

They all look brilliant! Well done!
Which sewing machine did you buy? I'm thinking about getting one but have no idea which one :/

Nice @Eileen's Mum! I managed another cage liner that fit better. But now I'm without a sewing machine. I can always hand stitch the hammock. I bought some needles after I seem to have lost the others i had. Maybe on Sunday....

Today I got some cheap towels from Poundland and I'm going to make some pee pads for the most wee'd on areas of the cage, like the wooden corner hide and under the bendy bridges. Still need to make cage liners but I need to buy more fleece and washable incontinence pads as i don't have enough now I've extended the cages!

@Eileen's Mum what are you going to use with the towel to make the pee pads?

I did fleece, towel, fleece as it seems a lot of people on here make their own like that.

I also got round to making my first cage liner today. As above I did fleece top and bottom and a towel in the middle. It went really well and it's much thicker than just fleece and puppy pads so I think the girls will like it.

I will see how well it works in with Edna and Eileen and if all is ok I will make some for Eva's cage :D

Was bored this evening so decided to just go ahead and make the larger liner for the bigger cage. It's great having a perfect fitting fleec rather than having to use 2 and folding it to get the right shape. I'm really pleased with them :)
