Even if I do say so myself, my guinea pigs have nice things.

I but them lots of natural wooden items for their cages.
I sew them a constant supply of lovely fleecy things.
They all live in decent sized C&C cages.
And I think 3 out of our 4 guinea pigs are truly happy, and appreciate a life filled with lovely things.

But then there is Ruby.
Sweet, difficult, contrary Ruby.
The guinea pig who had to spend time in a washing basket after she snapped her front teeth off so she could eat at her own pace, and she never wanted to come out.
Ruby loved being on an old beach towel in our tiny washing basket.

And now Ruby has a 'new' bed.
In a cage filled with multiple wonderful places to sleep (wooden platforms with foam mattresses, fleece cuddle cups, a fleece forest with mattress underneath) the only place Ruby will sleep is on old box.
Ruby's new bed of choice is an apple juice box.
I give up.

Is it bad that I saw the thread title and went "Bet Ruby's been up to shenanigans again?"

Aww she's such a beautiful piggy! Oh how she makes me giggle.

I understand how you feel, I have spent quite a bit on fleece items, which just get ignored. Neither of my piggies really use their loft, where I keep the fleece items. They seem to love bendy bridges though for sleeping!

Awe, how sweet! She looks very cosy in her eco house :D x

I refuse to believe a piggy that innocent and angelic looking is the terror you say she is lol. Nice box choice btw, the apple's are a lovely touch. She looks very comfy.

Ruby is the perfect name for that beautiful piggy she is a precious gem. She knows what she likes, mainly winding humans up :)).

Aww Ruby, she is such a pretty girl and I think the apple box suits her arty self!

Haha, I feel your pain.

I try to do the best for the pigs but Anselmo always liked to make me feel bad. This is the sight I came home to after "abandoning" him one weekend when I went to visit my family for a few days.

Keep posting @Jaycey - your darling Anselmo makes my Ruby look positively spoilt.
At least I gave Ruby a whole box - I can't believe poor Anselmo had to make do with a torn up paper bag.
Poor boy :lol!:

Yep. There was plenty of poops just out of shot and the bag was well drenched in pee.

Just look at the wet eye, he must have been crying. Someone call the RSPCP!

Feel free to pm me for tips on how to be the perfect owner :lol!:

But I will only be available once I am off the phone to the RSPCA :))
