MommaPiggy
Adult Guinea Pig
I tried fleece once before and it was so hard to deal with, the washing and stuff...So I gave up and switched to megazorb.
More like...Megamess. It was worth it, though but about 4 days ago, I noticed that Arnolds feet were quite red and he seemed to be a little tender when waddling about. Ralph seemed a bit irritable but I can't tell how his feet are, since they're black. I just guessed from his walking; that he was a tad sore himself.
I lace the cage with the stuff because they just can't be trusted.
Anyways, being the soft touch I am, switched back to fleece that very day.
I got their old litter tray out, well both of them and filled them with hay.
At first I tried half and half. I did half fleece and half newspaper. The fleece was a bit damp where they sleep, which is to be expected but other than that, most pee's went in the trays...Poops...Not so much.
So I've totally given in and am giving fleece another go.
I'm gonna buy one of those hammocky hammocks wash bags, though. It makes it easier. Brushing the hairs off the fleece is a piece of cake...But the washing isn't so great.
Here's my boys. Chillin' on their fleece:
I decided to go with white! Makes spot cleaning tons easier. Brown fleece and poop mix far too well, I can't quite see what I'm picking up :{ Not to mention that Ralph is like a ninja on brown fleece!
