Hello, please what do you think of these ingredients of pellets:

Wheat bran, alfalfa meal, extracted sunflower meal partially hulled, wheat straw, malt flower, calcium carbonate, sodium chloride

Analytical composition:

crude protein 17%
crude fibre 17,4%
crude oils and fats 2,6%
crude ash 8,7%
lysine 0,7%
methionine 0,3%
calcium 1%
sodium 0,3%
phosphorus 0,7%,

Nutritional additives:

E2 calcium iodate anhydrous - Ca(102)2 (as I) 1,13mg
E3 Cobalt acetate-Co(CH3Coo)2(as Co) 1mg
E4 Copper sulphate pentahydrate - CuSO4,5H2O(as Cu) 22mg
E5 Manganese oxide - MnO (as Mn) 40,9mg
E6 Zinc oxide - ZnO (as Zn) 26,4mg
E8 Sodium Selenite- Na2SeO3 (as Se) 0,09mg

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I have found a local producer who sells for a really good price. So I wanted to know if the price was because of poor quality. Thanks!
 
They are not the kind of thing I would feed - the ingredients are not great.
You are ideally looking for a pellet where the first ingredient is Timothy hay or grass and one which ideally does not contain alfalfa (piggies should avoid alfalfa due to its high calcium content) or any grains.
 
They are not the best.though pellets are a small proportion of the diet.one tablespoon per pig is not so bad,but if you can find a pellet that you and your piggies like,I would go for that.🙂
