Is My New Piggy Dying?

@Adelle I wish I could press the like button many times for posting that up for Xilvey. I hope it gives someone a clue as to what it is. Personally I'm flummoxed, but @Xilvey it would be a good idea to take this sample with you to the vet. It does sound like this was a blockage causing her problems, but that's personal opinion based on very little knowledge, so don't take my word for that at all..
Please talk to the vet about recovery food, for example Supreme Science Recovery powder, it is very good indeed for helping guinea pigs who have had stomach upsets, good for getting them going in a gentle but nutritious way. Usually a piggy will take some from the end of a spoon or even the thin end of a spoon, used as a scoop. I mix mine with a pinch of pro-biotics, again it's something to talk to the vet about.
It's very encouraging that she is perking up, but the fight isn't necessarily over and the cause needs to be found if possible to give her the best chance that she can have. Please update us on what your vet says about it.
Huge hugs to you, you've done a wonderful job of nursing her through the night. xx

Have you managed to see the vet?

I can't tell what it is exactly by the photo but I have seen something like this before. I was led to believe that the mucus plug can be a good sign and bad. It happens when a piggies system is shutting down due to them not eating/drinking.

The fact that it's come out is good as it shows that her digestive system is now starting up again. But, it does mean she is still quite poorly (which you know anyway)

My pig's outcome wasn't great but that was because there were other issues that stopped him from eating. I don't want to put a downer on your situation.

I'd definitely still see the vet, and get lots and lots of handfed food and water into her, get her pooping and peeing properly. Hope she's okay. I've got my fingers crossed for you.

Thanks @Adelle

I agree with @Jaycey though it is good that her digestive system seems to have started up it is important to keep it going and to try to get to the bottom of what is causing it.
