My birthday is coming up and I'm looking for new housing for my pigs as I'm getting my room re-done, does anyone know if the: "Ferplast Plaza 160 Small Pet Cage" is suitable? The price is pretty good and the measurements (162 x 60 x 50 cm) seem large, I just want my pigs to have enough space!

Thank you! <3

Are your pigs male or female? For two females this is a fine size, but two males need a recommended 180cm x 60cm 😊

Male! Thank you for replying! Would that be a 4x2 c&c? Would that be suitable for them? Thanks!

For 2 boars you really want a 2x5 C&C if at all possible.
Depending on the age of your boys the extra space could make a big difference to their relationship during the teenage years.
Ah okay, thank you! So a 2x5 or a 2x6 would be best?

Yes, no smaller than a 2x5. If you can get them a 2x6, then that is even better. Boars are more territorial and need a lot of room.

As you will be changing their environment and territories by getting them a new cage, you should expect to see them reestablish their relationship and be extra dominant for a time (this is normal as boars have to reestablish their relationship in each new territory, hence why keeping territory changes to a minimum is important with boars). To help with the transition to a new cage, ensure you use soiled bedding in the new cage so that it still smells of them - this can help them recognise it as their territory

Just an FYI, for the Ferplast 160, there is also a 30 cm add on sold separately that you can attached to one end of the cage quite easily, making it 190cm long.
