Yeah thats what I was thinking too, in theory it sounds great, but if she needed to dispense medicines etc how would that work? And operations would be impossible to do in homes. I'm not even sure how she would be able to get insurance if she's treating animals in peoples homes.
If it helps my latest trip to the vets for Athena cost £45.85 which consisted of the consultation fee, an antibiotic injection, a weeks course of antibiotics, a weeks course of some other thing I can't for the life of me remember what it's called, some critical care and some probiotics. I've always felt my vets were very reasonable in what they charge though, things like doing tests on urine for diabetes, spinning the urine down to check for crystals etc has always been included in the consultation fee.
