Just thought I'd share here the issues my Itsy is going through ( mainly for good vibes and reassurance but also to hear other peoples experiences).
A couple of weeks ago I noticed 2 lumps on her belly (between nipples and genital area). One smaller than the other and both feel under skin, internal. Booked to see vet and waited a week because Simon at the cat and rabbit clinic wasn't there. Simon explained there is no way to know what it is other that removing and sending to pathology or a biopsy. Biopsies are not very accurate due to small sample. Because Itsy is a young pig we decided to go with removal of one lump, pathology report and then decide what to do with other lump. It could be a aggressive tumours, it could be benign or it could be hormonal. If hormonal it means her season is longer than it should and she would need a spay.
She is booked to go under this Wednesday. At the same time her weight has been decreasing from 1040 last Tuesday to 1005 on Friday, to 980 Saturday and 960 today. She does eat but slowly and I have been given her additional syringe feed. Unsure what to think and if it's related to lump or anything else.
Soooo, good vibes needed, I am so anxious for my sweetie girl
