As you know I have visited Cavy Haven Rescue in Winsford today to piggy train a lovely sow back to Lea (Biscandmatt), the lady who runs this, Irene, is lovely and had so many (about 80) beautiful piggies. Well... now she has one less. I brought home a beautiful 5 month old boy for me. x) She said he was a 'silver fox' which I have only ever heard of in rabbit terms. I have called him Roly. Not quite sure yet what my plans are for the little fella except to get him used to us. He is incredibly skittish, leaps around the cage, very scared when I go near him so will just let him settle in for now. Have took a couple of pictures, which don't really do him justice. Anybody any idea about 'silver foxes?' He is black all over, silver around his eyes, silver tummy and insides of legs. Really unusual, but gorgeous.

No wonder you couldn't come home empty handed - what a gorgeous boy! Sorry, I'm not really clued up on breeds so I haven't heard of them.
 
He is very handsome, and I don't see there is anything naughty in adopting him! Looking forward to more pictures.
 
He is lovely! Yup, he is most definately a Fox - not silver though, Black. They come in other colours too and I think they're a very pretty breed.
 
Thanks, he really is a stunning little boy. He was just sat on top of his logs watching me in the kitchen, and looking around at all his new piggy friends. xx
 
He is lovely we had a fox boy in rescue a while ago who has now found a really happy home.
Fox piggys have eye circles, and a light belly and black on the rest of them they are not very common but fox piggys do come in a variety of colours the are very sweet looking piggys congratulations on your new addition he is lovely.
 
No..his breed is a "Black Fox" and Black Foxes have silver (grey) eye circles and tummies. :)
 
Did you tell her about the forum Jane? And did she have any long haired babes?

Lovely boy Roly! I love Foxes, had a chance of getting one for Cuzzy when he was ill but opted for Eccles instead as he was younger. Quite unusual looking pigs! x
 
Lots of babies, long/short/teddy all sorts.
I did tell her about the website yes and she took the address. It's quite a set up there. x
 
Her pigs are all gorgeous, all different sorts. Saw a gorgeous himi sow close up. Never seen a himi close up before. xx
 
He is gorgeous and definately a Black fox (The silver tummy and eye circles is the fox markings).

I've never seen any like him; what a beauty he his! and hopefully finding out soon, just how lucky!
 
Wow! We had a black fox years ago (although I didn't know that was the term for it until now). She was called pencil but I have no idea why. He's a beautiful boy and I can see why you couldn't come home empty handed.
 
Jane he is stunning - you can bring him on Friday if you want to and I can peek at him in his carrier - then I can cuddle him - then I can jump in my car very quickly and drive away at great speed - and then remember I have him in my coat pocket ha ha.

You bad girl you! I was also bad yesterday! This is one of my little girls I got yesterday and she has circles round her eyes and a lighter tummy.

How do you all know what breeds there are? I wish I knew all the different ones. All I know is my two are the most common sort and that is "CUTE" :)p
 
Yes I think she is a rex as well, her sister is the same colour but not a rex. Have you a name for yours yet?
 
That lovely Rex pig of yours Mary is a Black and Tan - very unusual in Rexes and haven't seen one before like that! :)
