He's a Black and Tan Rex. :)

The Fox and the Black and Tans have similar markings, but are an entirely different breed all together.

If you google 'Fox guinea pigs' and 'Black and tan guinea pigs' you should be able to find some piccies!

Hi, He has no tan at all, he is all black except for the silver bits I said, and he is completely smooth haired, not at all rexy in his fur so how does this make him tan or rex? (Said with respect as I know very little about breeds, just trying to clarify :{ :) ) All my others are 'mongrels' so I never bother about what breed they are, just thought I would try and find out about this little fella. x

Sorry but I think she was on about my rex! What ever they are I think we are all very lucky that we have guinea pigs. Have you got a name for yours yet? xx
 
Sorry Mary. x Yes, as the lady told me he was a silver fox (which now I know he isn't) but anyway, I thought Rolls Royce have a silver fox, or something? So I can't call him Rolls Royce, but I have called him Roly, which I think suits him well. xx
 
Yeah I'm sorry I was talking about Mary's pig that time! They are both so lovely though, I am very envious of them :)p
 
I know Tracyx piggy is the same as Farquhar's avatar and the same as my Sally. All three white almost identical piggies. Gorgeous. xx

i knew you would end up with a new piggy when you went to cavy haven! although, i am surprised you only got one!

he's a lovely boy though, very unusual colour. x)
 
I have just seen this too and I can empathise. When we collected Finlay, I could have taken themm all with me...

Molly is also a fox, but she is a dark brown and silver, they would make a lovely couplexx>>>xx>>>
