so a guinea pig i have his friend died recently and i was going to get him a new friend but he seems more happy alone so my question is is he achily happy alone ps i just got him like 2 or so months
I agree with the others you need company for your piggy. You don't speak there language, you don't popcorn around. Seriously soon are you get a friend for your piggy. Your wonder why you didn't do it before.
Yes some guinea pigs manage ok on their own as opposed to going into acute pining and refusing to eat. I have one such confident piggy who would follow us around and chatter away to us but it soon became clear to me that she was only doing this because she was alone and because she was so desperately lonely. I can vouch first hand just how much happier they are with a member of their own species for company
