shes a female 6m old...... so i said yes, tho wouldnt you seperate kitten/ supervise ect ?

20m later she arrives piggie has one day old baby ! & kitten is her boyfreinds who is moving in , has so far attacked her piggie & her two cats , which she is also rehoming ! :o so although I'm glad to offer her & her baby a home I'm really shocked shes just getting rid of her pets for his?
:o

My fella used to snezze alot and he always used to moan about the pets and I just used to say 'You'll get used to it!' Must say he is fine now and if he gets bad he just pops a tablet.

Lucky little Maude and Petal finding there way to you. Silly girl, giving up her animals because of a man ::)

It's great that they've found you Alex, now they'll get the love they deserve. Imagine what would have happened to them if she'd kept them :(

I think you're all very horrible to judge.

If you do not fully know the circumstances - what gives you the right to judge other people? How would you like it if they did that to you?

Not everyone is fully bonded to their pets like myself, and like some of you. Sometimes people have to make sacrifices. At least they go to a good home instead of being dumped somewhere - isn't that good enough for you people?

Ive reread the posts and I dont think anyone is judging anyone else Darky. More like expressing their opinions on the unfortunate situation.

This person has decided to make this sacrifice and that is her choice.

Everything has worked out in the best way for the animals and that is the main thing.

What a shame, happy ending for the piggers at least! Pigtures please when you get chance ;D

Yes I'm glad you have them now - a less volatile environment for these pigs.

How are "the girls" this morning :)
I bet they are enjoying the peace and quiet of their new home!

What a silly woman. Its perfectly possible to have cats and small animals in the same home. I used to have rats, who were kept in a cage when my cat was around, and I used to shut her out of the room when I wasnt at home as her main hobby was poking her paws through the bars.

And her poor cats >:(. If she goes about introductions in the right way there's no reason why all 3 cats couldnt live peacefully together.

Sounds like she's bored of them, and cant be bothered to look after them now she's got her boyfriend moving in.

Poor pets.......and what happens if it doesn't work out with her boyfriend? Will she go out and stock up again?

Maxthepig - I had a rat and cat together too! But he taught the cat a lesson - she poked her head in the cage one day as I used to keep his door open so he had free roam and he grabbed hold of her ear and pulled her in the cage! Luckily I was in the room so I could rush in and rescue her - she never did it again though! ;D

;D One of my rats bit the cat on the nose through the bars- she wasnt as brave after that ;D

Hehe! ;D

Iggy (my previous cats son) lost a part of his ear to my next rat - he got his head too close as well!

However, it does teach them not to pester things that are behind bars - he's never bothered my gp's or rabbit, only to have a sniff and then that's it!

We have a rat, two cats, two budgies, a dog, two guineas and two ponds full of fish. o~o

Never had any problems with pets not getting along.

the girls have setteled in fine ,were a bit amazed at all the hay n food tho & the chewwy log toy bless !
darky , i wasnt judging the circumstance , I'm glad they did what they did, it was the callouse way it was done, when my OH moved in his cat had to fit around us, of course its not a smooth transaction, care is needed, & all my other rescues, tell me there name , history ect , i offer them to come round any time & send them pics ect ... they just wernt intrested... but thats fine there very much loved n welcolm.
i have 13 cats & 4 dogs with all my piggies , buns n chins (plus birds n fish) n they all get on fine it can be done :)

could'nt have put it better myself. piggys and animals in fact are more loyal then any human, male or female, hubby knows where he stands so do the kids, if that sounds harsh, tough :D :D dont get me wrong I love them all to bits but if any got allergic then they would have to sort it out, and stay away from the pigs never in a million years would I get rid of any of my animals< I've even planned what to do in a hurrican etc, we live on top of a very windy hill so when you get wind we get hurricanes, they will all be moved either indoors or under the garage floor :D

One of my rats (a real laid-back boy) once bit my friend's labrador on the nose, really hard and make it bleed badly ? All the dog's fault though, as she would not leave the rat alone. She never went near him again after that though ;D Oh and she wasn't seriously hurt (except her doggy pride).

I could never give up my animals for anyone. Its always been a case of love me love my pets. When I'd been seeing Steve for a few months he asked me if I had to make a choice between him and my cat, Cepher, who would I choose. "What a daft question" I said "of course I would choose Cepher" he was really shocked but I told him that I'd only known him for a couple of months, Cepher had shared my life for 10 years at that point. There really was no contest. 9 years down the line, things still haven't changed except that he wouldn't give up the cats for me either ;D

We were watching an old episode of The Vicar of Dibly. The one where she has the service for the animals. Dawn French says "its amazing but people really do love their animals more that they love each other" I turned to hubby and said "we do don't we bun" and said "yes". And that's the way it is in our house, rightly or wrongly, the animals come first.

When I was leaving him last year, the only time he cried was when I said I was taking the cats ::). I could never love a man who didn't adore the pets as much as Steve does.

I feel very sorry for that girl who gave up the piggies. He will lead her a dogs life. If he's that selfish when it comes to the animals, think what he'll be like in other areas of their life. That should have been a big warning bell. :-\

I think non-animal lovers who ask such questions really are Asking for It ;D

My last long term boyfriend eventually made me choose between him and my pets ... guess who's been dumped?

Also someone I once worked with asked me this question: If one of my cats and HER daughter were both in the sea drowning, who would I save first? What a horrible question to ask. Sorry I said, it would be my cat, she is MY family.

I totally agree. That wasn't a very nice question to ask and she didn't like the answer she got I bet but that's tough. And I agree with the view that your cat is your family. I've had people ask that sort of question to me. They're trying to make you admit that human life is more precious that an animal. And when you say that you would choose your pet they don't believe you ::) Well, i'm sorry but my pets are a lot nicer than most of the people I come across on a day to day basis. Their lives are not more precious than my babies.

I personally would not say that ALL human life is better than ALL animal life, no way! There are some evil people around.

All life is scared but there are some people out there that don't deserve to breathe oxygen. Can you say that about any animals? Except wasps. They're evil ;D

Just what is the point of wasps... frankly

The cause misery and pain and I for one am terrified of them. I am HYSTERICAL in the presence of a wasp.
I do not eat outside in the wasp season

Me too. I'm the same. There is no point to wasps AND they know that they won't die when they sting people so they do it all day long. Its all they do. They come out of their nests in the morning, stretch their wings, sharpen their stings and off they fly to find their victims (I don't make this stuff up it's quite true ::)). I bet they even carry a little score sheet and get prizes for the most people stung. ooh *shudder* awful creatures
