Large black balls

Hi I’ve noticed my ginger guinea pig has large black balls is this normal?
Thank you

Hi and welcome!

If you mean descended testicles - their colour depends on the skin colour in that area. You can pry hair in another area apart and see whether the colour matches.
The size of the descended testicles can also vary quite a bit individually.

It would help us a lot if you could please post a picture so we can see whether there is a problem or not. Without it we cannot comment as we haven't got anything to go by.

You can most reliably upload a photo via the green Attach Files button below your post. Please ensure that the picture is well lit (preferably in day light) and that it is crisp and not fuzzy. Thank you.

hi I couldn't really get a photo I didn't want to put him in a position like that for too long and photos was not clear,
I think that his skin is that colour has a oval shaped outer ring on his bottom too, is this also normal?
The boys are just are settling in to a new cage also

Hi!

No, that is not something that I have ever seen or that has every been brought up on this forum but without seeing what you are meaning I can't tell you whether your boy is alright or not. If you have any worries, please see a vet for a hands-on examination. They are still open as they count as key services. We cannot see whether your boy has sat in something, whether it is something skin related or whether it is just skin markings without at least a picture, unfortunately.

Has that area always been that dark or is this a recent change?

You can hold him by putting his back against your stomach, then get someone else to take a photo.
