Thank you so much but what is an out of hours vet, how do i cantact him and is it expensiveHi and welcome!
Please take a deep breath and calm down! See an out-of-hours vet tomorrow during the day in case she needs an anti-inflammatory but it is not a life or death emergency to necessitate an expensive night visit.
The UK has 24/7 vet cover; here is how you find when your regular clinic is closed: How to contact a vet out of hours
Sprains and strains from the hip/shoulder joint down are not at all uncommon, especially in lively young piggies. All it takes is a misjudged landing after a jump
As long as your piggy is able to put weight on a foot, nothing is broken.![]()

He is eating but he is Just limping all the timePlease click on the green link in my first post. It tells you exactly how to find them - either via calling your regular vet's answering machine or by googling.
You usually pay a little extra (just a few pounds) for a consultation during normal day time hours on a Sunday or bank holiday but if you need to see a vet in a life or death emergency during night time hours then it gets pretty expensive - the consultation fee can be around 100% plus medication.
That is why I am recommending to wait until tomorrow in the day to see a vet.
However when your piggy is in excruciating pain, has an accident or is suddenly very ill, being able to see a vet immediately can really make a difference. It would be good if you made sure that you save up to be able to see a vet as an emergency at any time of day or in the year as part of the monthly maintenance cost. and have a vet fund. Serious illness and emergencies usually happen at the worst time possible and there is never a good time.
How much is a leg fix or something like that to treat the leg
How much is a leg fix or something like that to treat the leg
Hi when he walks he doesnt Lean to one side or put weight on that side where the leg is injured he Just lifts it up SO when he walks the leg is lifted up. So does this mean the leg is not brokenI advise you read the information written above .... particularly the information written by Wiebke. If there is something wrong , the sooner it is treated , the better .
When my boar Maxdeveloped a limp , it turned out to be a simple sprain . He didn’t need any treatment ...
but he was in a lot of pain and needed painkillers
Max Is Limping
Nobody on here has said we think his leg is broken. What we are saying is he is likely to be in pain and needs to see a vet .... primarily for pain medication and also for a proper diagnosis .Hi when he walks he doesnt Lean to one side or put weight on that side where the leg is injured he Just lifts it up SO when he walks the leg is lifted up.
