I know I know.. I’m terrible. I was meant to be slowing down on the Guinea pigs after the loss of my two girlies recently. And after it didn’t work out bonding the two lonely boars together I just couldn’t bare thinking of them living alone even next to each other. Henry kept chewing on the bars towards Lion, Buttons and Emily’s cage and being the cheeky and mischievous boy he is I knew he needed a female companion sooner rather than later. He’s too social to be alone.
Newton of course will need a friend too, But I feel he’s coping better than Henry for now.
When I saw Luna Lanshark advertised on PetRescue at a rescue in Melbourne I thought immediately that she sounds like a good fit for Hernry. She sounded confident, quirky and mischievous.
So yesterday after gently telling Jon that I am indeed getting another pig despite being 8 months preggers, we drove half way to meet some kind volunteers to pick up Luna.
She is living next to Henry for a few days for a slow introduction, Henry is being Henry and chewing at the bars to get to her. Luna isn’t paying much attention which is fab. Fingers crossed they like each other. But if not at least I have the option of Newton too!
Luna is 4 years old and you can see from the photos why her full name is ‘Luna Landshark’
She’s settling in well.
