Lethal Guinea Pig

Yes I have 2 adult girls and she has been communicating with them so I'm hoping they will take to her once she finds her way and strength taking it slow so she isn't hurt. X

I'm not very clued up on lethal pigs. How do you know she is one and not just a pure white piggy?

She is completely blind and only has her top two teeth aswell as being pure white with wine red eyes.

Well she seemed to be very noisy so I wondered if she was lonely. She picked a new comfort today and has slept and wandered exploring more since she chose haha she snuggles up goes and eats then back to snuggling means I'm getting 5 minutes to myself now haha. I am so proud of her

Cute slippers, and can I just say I find this thread so heartwarming. You are taking on a piggy that is genetically predisposed to a number of possible health issues yet you are willing to try and help her as best you can and are open to opinions offered.
It's such a refreshing change from the occasional sick piggy thread where the owner totally ignores any suggestions and refuses any treatment options.

I take my hat off to you. That's one lucky piggy :tu:

I have a checkup with her on Friday going to see if they are any good. I am struggling to find a really really good vet who is experienced near me as I don't drive.

Awww what a beautiful little piggy. She’s very lucky to have found such a loving piggy owner.

She is sooo tiny, but she thankfully found the love and care she requires, from you. Please keep us updated x

Update .. she has a vets appointment on Friday for a checkup and so far has went from 80 grams to 84 the little fatty lol

On an update sadly I had to go to work today and leave her alone ( had some one go in and check on her a couple times) and she was fine my little snowy eat her food and slept till I got home then started crying for a cuddle bless her

Hello. As above I will follow your story. May I say well done :clap:for giving such a great chance to a piggie that has the odds against it. I take my hat off to you.

What a lovely story... I didn't know what a lethal Guinea pig was before I read this thread. Seems a shame to call them that! She's a beauty none the less!

Thanks k you I would love to read those stories ( may give me some tips haha) and thank you all for you lovely stories Ali will flgive her cuddles for you all :P

She has had her first vets appointment and has a strong heart and they see no reason she shouldn't be able to hear but she is completely blind. They said there is no reason she shouldn't be able to have a happy guinea life :D
Hello. Good to know about vet visit. Really sad about sight but you are makin piggies life wonderful. I say well done for not givin up on her. Big Hugs. xx

very good news!! eyes are not important for piggies...
Did you read the story of lethal piggie Fairy? I found her story long ago and I fell in love with her... she lived 5 long years! (and my normal piggie Ugo lived two years only...).
I guess you will have huge satisfactions with this lethal piggie

@Lyndsey123 Most importantly, what did they say about her teeth? Is she going to be able to live without dental treatment, or is she going to need regular dental work?

They said she more then likely will need dentals but to go back when she is older as it looks like her bottom teeth are coming through so she may not need dentals :)
