Dillon is my 4 month old boar that I have had for around 3 weeks.
I noticed when I got home today not all of their veggies were eaten which is unusual for them but neither seemed to be acting any differently.
They have sqeeked for their tea time veggies and wandered through to the kitchen for their tea. I noticed that Dillon just wandered round the plate unable to pick anything and when he nibbled my finger it felt kind of gummy so had a wee look and one of his tip front teeth has snapped off.
They get vitamin C added to their veg mind you I am not certain how much they should have?
I know a broken tooth can be lack of vit C or by a bump to the mouth but I can't see it being either of these and it must have only happened today because he had no bother munching last nite.
I have had an older rescue boar with scurvy which this happened to alot but not a baby.
Any ideas? All his food is now cut into little battons for him and he is much enjoying being hand fed!
